On March 22^nd, 2012, therepresentatives of Italian Handicraft Producers Association, Italian GeneralHandicraft Confederation, Italy Vicenza Leather Industry Association,altogether more than 20 delegates accompanied by the Chairman of the CCPIT(China Council for the Promotion of International Trade) of Huadu District Mr.Huang Guijian visited Shengdi Shiling International Leather City in Huadu,Guangzhou. Both sides discussed the opportunities for future cooperation in thearea of leather processing and supply.

The visitors were shown aroundthe phase 1-5 of Shengdi Shiling – a complex of 4200 manufacturers of leatherproducts, raw leather and hardware accessories. With its total trade volume of15-20 billion CNY, Shengdi Shiling is considered the biggest leather wholesalemarket in China and one of the biggest leather centers in the world.

The representatives of eight Italiantanneries, who were also part of the delegation showed great interest in ShengdiShiling leather supply and operation channels, introduced to the guests whilevisiting Shengdi Shiling business and logistics center located in the phase 5.

Afterwards, the delegation attended acommunication meeting with the leaders of Shengdi Shiling International LeatherCity and local leather products manufacturers.

Before coming to Guangzhou, the delegationtoured around China, visited Shanghai and Zhejiang Province with the intentionto research the supplies and demands of Chinese leather market.
