OnJune 2^nd, 2014, Chairman of Shengdi Group Mr. Jim Lam attended thereception organized by the Consulate General of Italy in Guangzhou on theoccasion of the National Day. The honorary guests present at this event werethe Deputy Governor of Guangdong Province Mr. Xu Shaohua and the Chairman ofthe CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade) GuangdongMr. Chen Qiuyan. Both government officials stressed the importance that GuangdongProvince attaches to Milan World Expo 2015. They confirmed that the provincialdelegation will participate in this important event and organize a CantoneseWeek to be held in the Chinese pavilion.

During theevening, Mr. Jim Lam had a chance to congratulate the Consul General of ItalyMr. Benedetto Latteri, express his thanks for the fruitful cooperation with theConsulate and introduced his plans to continue strengthening the exchanges betweenItalian and Chinese tanneries. 

The major projectof Shengdi Shiling International Leather City is currently the phase 6 “EuropeanCity”, where the international leather manufacturers will be able to exhibittheir leather samples and leather goods, gaining easier access into Chinesemarket. Shengdi Shiling has already started discussions with top Italiantanneries and leather associations about bringing high quality genuine leatherand leather products to the phase 6 project.
